I was brought up in my family’s heartlands in the Douro Superior, Portugal, a remote yet magical corner of the Iberian Peninsula. Having travelled through many of the winemaking regions of the world and learned about their practices, I returned to our vineyards, convinced of their great potential to make world class wines. These great vineyards of the Douro region continue to inspire my passion for winemaking.
